The Background
When Raskelf Group, the luxury sleep product manufacturer behind the Duvalay brand (as seen on Dragons’ Den), needed to ramp up production, they turned to a trusted Radcliffe Construction to help.
With demand rising and growth firmly on the horizon, the brief was clear: to extend their Heckmondwike headquarters with a modern, high-performance warehouse facility, all while keeping operations running smoothly.
What We Did
We delivered a turnkey £1 million project, including the demolition of an existing unit and construction of a brand-new 9,500 sq. ft warehouse extension built on piled foundations.
The new space includes a full mezzanine floor for added flexibility, enabling Raskelf to significantly increase manufacturing capacity without disrupting day-to-day output. In parallel, we upgraded the adjacent warehouse, replacing the roof, walls, and concrete slab floor to bring the older space up to modern standards and enhance operational efficiency across the site.
Crucially, all works were carried out in a live manufacturing environment - with careful planning, tight logistics, and close collaboration to keep the business moving while the build progressed.
The Result
The result is a high-spec extension that will allow Raskelf to increase manufacturing output by 40%, unlocking new potential as the business scales over the coming years.
Alan Colleran, Managing Director at Raskelf Group, explained: "The challenge was creating a new warehouse while continuing to operate business as usual. Logistics were difficult, but the Radcliffe Construction team delivered."
From demolition to handover, we managed the full journey on time, on budget, and with minimal disruption. A solid result for a growing brand that is redefining luxury sleep.
